What browsers and operating systems are supported?

Because computer technologies rapidly change, we are not able to guarantee that Lumosity will function flawlessly on all systems. Newer technologies tend to offer better experiences, so we try to stay up-to-date with the newest versions of each system, and older versions will eventually become unsupported.

Supported Mobile Operating Systems

  • Android 5.0+
  • iOS 11.2+

If you are accessing Lumosity on a mobile device you will need to use the Lumosity app. To download the app, click on your device below:

Supported Computer Operating Systems

  • Windows: 8.1 and 10
  • Mac: Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, and High Sierra (or OSX/macOS 10.9+)

We have ended support for Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 and Macs with Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion, and Mountain Lion operating systems because Chrome, Apple, Microsoft, and Mozilla Firefox no longer provide bug fixes and security updates for these systems, and so we cannot guarantee safety or compatibility on these systems. To stay safe online, we recommend that you upgrade your operating system to the latest version. Learn how to upgrade your Windows or Mac operating system.

Linux/Ubuntu: We do not officially support Linux. However, if you are on a Linux computer, we recommend that you use the Chromium browser.

*Please note, if you are using Internet Explorer in Compatibility View, Lumosity.com will not display properly. To turn off Compatibility View, click on the gear in the top right corner and click Compatibility View Settings. Then remove Lumosity.com and uncheck all boxes and click Close.
