The Lumosity Break Chrome extension is a free browser extension that can be installed on the Chrome browser on a PC or Mac computer. Only paid subscribers can access the games with this extension. Our hope in creating this feature is to provide an easier way for our members to remember to train. After installing the Lumosity Break extension, every time you open a new Chrome tab, you will get one Lumosity game to play.
How do I install the Lumosity Break Chrome extension?
To install the Lumosity Break Chrome extension, find it in Chrome web store and then select the blue Add to Chrome button in the top right corner. A small pop-up will appear asking if you'd like to add Lumosity Break. Select Add Extension.
If you see a message that Flash is blocked, you'll need to make an exception to allow Flash for the Lumosity Break Chrome extension following the instructions below:
- In Chrome, enter the following: chrome://settings/content/flash
- Next to Allow, select Add.
- Enter the following:
Then click Add. Try reloading the tab.
How do I change which games appear?
The extension comes preloaded with 33 games, but you can choose which games will or will not show up. To remove or add games, click on the Lumosity icon in the top right corner of your browser. Then click a game to remove it from your set, or click it again to add it back. The games that are currently included will be highlighted in green.
How do I get to my regular New Tab and Google?
If you would like to get back to the regular New Tab page showing Google and recently visited websites, you can always click the Back to Google link in the bottom left corner of the Lumosity Break screen. This will bring you back to the regular New Tab page.
How do I remove the Lumosity Break Chrome extension?
- Select the menu in the top right corner of Chrome.
- Select More Tools and then Extensions.
- A new tab will appear showing a list of your extensions in Chrome. You can either disable the Lumosity Break extension by unchecking Enabled, or you can remove the extension entirely by selecting the trash can icon.
